The Jackson County Latino Council was developed in 2012 to join local community service agencies and organizations to address unique concerns of Spanish-speaking residents while recognizing and promoting one?s role as members and participants of the whole community. This year the third Mother?s Day Celebration has even more participating organizations collaborating. The event is focused on ?bringing Jackson County cultures together,? shared Missy Woods, Jackson County Director of Human Services, Inc. ?The event is to provide an experience of being open to other cultures and diversity.? Magda Posadsa Rovledo, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services Latina Case Manager added, ?This event is for the total community. We want to celebrate all mothers in Jackson County. We also want to share our culture through dancing, music, and poems.?
